About Go Time

Go Time
is an event management company specializing in all areas of race management, race day timing, and live finish line results.

Our mission is to provide flawless race timing with unique elements that will keep our customers — race directors and runners– coming to us year after year for our services.

Colin Hackman
President

Colin has been running and producing events his whole life.  His love of event management started in the 11th grade when he started a DJ business.  The same year he led the Hoggard Viking’s Boys Cross Country Team to their first State Meet.  Colin currently spends his time tracking tropical weather, coaching the Cape Fear Academy Cross Country Teams and hanging out with his daughter Peyton.

Michelle Hackman
Production Manager

Michelle’s resume includes managing and directing international events for both private companies and professional trade associations. Her events have included the publicity for a $400 million dollar casino expansion in Nevada, and an annual 1000 person military awards dinner.  Her first run was on her first date with Colin, she has never looked back. Michelle volunteers her expertise to various non-profits including the Willie Stargell Foundation, the Historic Wilmington Foundation and Women of  Hope. In her free time Michelle enjoys running after Peyton and spending time with friends.

Gabe Gauspohl
Race Operations
Gabe is good at lifting things, obviously.  His brain is also developed (just enough) to manage all the logistics of some of our regions largest races.  When we aren’t cracking on Gabe we are depending on him to flawlessly manage the setup and implementation of all of our equipment including timing, audio/visual, structures and course necessities.  He also manages the backup timing systems for our larger races.  Gabe is an avid runner, but he hasn’t started racing longer distances yet.  Apparently his knuckles just get too bloody from all the dragging.

Zach Hunt
Race Operations
Zach is a jack of all trades when it comes to race day management, timing and promotion.  From course measurment to race day announcing Zach pretty much can do it all.  His high energy approach makes him fun to be around and awards are usually spiced up (think cinnamon) when Zach is involved.  Zach is a recent graduate from UNCW.  He spends his mornings working as a photojournalist with our area’s most watched news program.

Greg Zinner
Race Operations

Greg is a veteran runner with race experience dating back to the Lehighton Booster Club Track program in the 1980s. He grew up and competed in the eastern PA running scene, home of Rodale Press, publishers of Runner’s World Magazine. After graduating from Penn State University, Greg moved to North Carolina and traded his runs in the snow & cold for those in the heat & humidity. When not training for marathons, he enjoys watching his beloved Phillies.

Jennifer Brokaw
Race Day Photography

Jennifer is excited to be able to combine her love of art and athletics in a fun and active career in photography.  Although young in the field, Jenn has already gained experience in event, still life, commercial, life-style and portrait photography.  She has been hired to photograph live stage performances, children’s parties, galas, graduations, sporting events, and family portraits.  She loves to take her camera around as she travels; making sure not to miss a moment.  When she is not photographing, you can catch Jenn being active around Wilmington; surfing with her fiancé at Wrightsville, playing soccer at Veteran’s park, coaching at Cape Fear Academy, or, more than likely running, the trails with the Hackmans!

Ed Hackman
CFO

As an international executive, Ed’s career in the chemical industry is what originally brought the Hackmans to southeastern North Carolina.  Although not a runner, Ed has been “run in” to a corner by both his son Colin, and his wife Charlotte, to manage the finances and accounting for their various ventures.  They’ll tell you it’s to keep him busy during retirement, but with his multiple weekly golf and tennis outings and “the damn trees blowing leaves all over” his yard – Ed’s schedule stays packed.  In his free time Ed enjoys keeping Peyton away from the remote and his glass of diet soda.
