Description of Race:
Join us for the second Wilmington Donut Dash presented by Young Life. This is an exciting event for serious runners, donut lovers and those looking to have a good time. Proceeds from the race assist Young Life with helping young adults become leaders by working with low income children.
For the Donut Lover: Run 1.5 miles, eat half a dozen glazed donuts, then run 1.5 miles back to the Finish Line. Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Overall Finishers and Age Group Winners.
For the Dieter: Run or Walk 1 lap around the Track, eat 1 glazed donut, then go around the track one more time to the Finish Line. Awards will not be presented to this category.
No Thanks, I'll Just Run: Run the 5K without eating the donuts. Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Overall Male and Female Finishers.
For Spectators: This is a great race to watch all the action. The Start, Donut Eating, and Finish all take place in one location. Be there to cheer on your favorite runner as they eat half a dozen donuts. Awards will be presented to Top 3 Overall Males and Females.

Race Shirts are guaranteed to those participants who register by March 20. After the cut-off date, shirts will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.

I know that running/walking/obstacles/eating donuts in the Wilmington Donut Dash road race on April 4, 2013 is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run/walk/obstacles/eat donuts unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the obstacle or donut eating run/walk. I assume all risks associated with running/walking/obstacles/donut eating while racing in any Go Time! events by Hackman Events LLC. This includes - but not limited to - falls, contacts with other participants, the effects of the weather including high heat and/or humidity, low temperature, traffic and conditions of the road, eating donuts while racing and all risks being known and appreciated by me.
Having read this release and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf or on behalf of my estate, waive and release GO TIME, HACKMAN EVENTS LLC, THE WILMINGTON DONUT DASH, YOUNG LIFE, UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA WILMINGTON, COLIN AND MICHELLE HACKMAN and all sponsors of the race, any other persons assisting with the race, the officers, Board, Board members, agents, servants, employees, and their successors and assigns of each and every of the above from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the donut run/walk even though the liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons referred to in this waiver.
I also grant permission for the use of any photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of my participation in this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that if the race is canceled because of circumstances beyond the control of the race committee and sponsors, incluing, but not limited to unsafe weather conditions or governmental ban, my entry fee will not be refunded.
