RACE CANCELLED — THE PARTY IS STILL ON!

Due to the National Weather Service issuing a Tropical Storm Warning for New Hanover County, the RACE portion of the event has been cancelled. However, the PARTY portion at the Seawitch is still on. The first 70 people to arrive in a Halloween Costume with their race bib will recieve a medal. Also, you will enjoy great food and beer specials, a live band, giveaways and Halloween fun! It all starts at 5pm at the Seawitch.  The How Far to the Bar crew thanks you for supporting Save the NC Inlets.

Description of Race:
Under a FULL MOON on Saturday, October 27 – get dressed in your fastest and most decorative Halloween costume and run for the BAR!
Run Canal Drive as you view the waterway and hear the fans cheering you on.  At the halfway point is a BAR if you need a refreshment! Then once you’re refreshed, race back to the finish and end your run at another BAR!   Our goal, of course, is to keep you well hydrated!  Beware – the sunsets at 5:58pm that evening and its a FULL MOON!  Race proceeds will be given to “Save the NC Inlets”
