5K – Timed
1 Mile Fun Run – Untimed.

SCHEDULE:
5K – 7:30 AM
1 Mile – 8:30 AM, immediately following the 5K
5K Awards – 9:00 AM,  following the finish of the 1 Mile.

Emma Anderson Memorial Chapel
1040 S. Anderson Blvd.
Topsail Beach, NC 28445

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The fast flat 5K course will begin and end at the Emma Anderson Memorial Chapel in Topsail Beach, NC, traversing roads at the south end of Topsail Island.  Food, beverages, and activities will be provided along with the awards ceremony after the 1 Mile Race on the church grounds.

Proceeds wil go to Venture Crew 2727 of Topsail Beach, NC.  Funds will be distributed from the crew to service initiative both locally and abroad including but no limited to: A percentage will benefit Emma Anderson Memorial Chapel.  This year a portion of the proceeds will go to support local scout families with loved once suffering from cancer.

PARTICIPANT SHIRTS:
Race shirts are guaranteed to those who register before June 21, 2014.
Sizes: Adult XS – XL.

RACE FEES:
Online Registration Closes July 2
There is a $3 credit card transaction fee per registration.

5K
April 1 – June 20- $25, includes a shirt.
June 21 – Race Day – $35, does not include a shirt.

1 Mile
April 1 – June 20 – WITHOUT SHIRT – $15
April 1 – June 20 – WITH SHIRT – $25
June 21 – Race Day – WITHOUT SHIRT – $20

A limited amount of extra shirts will be available for purchase on race day for $10.00

RULES, GUIDELINES & FAQ:

Waiver: The Registration Agreement & Liability Waiver is linked to the Online Registration. This must be selected and approved during registration.

Packet Pick-Up: Family or Friends may pick-up your Race Packet at Packet Pick-Up if the event is not sold out. For sold out races, individuals must pick-up their packet and show I.D.

On-Site Registration: Registration is available starting one hour prior to race start. It closes 20 minutes prior to start.

Timing: Jaguar Chip Timing will be used to time this race.

Weather: This race is rain or shine. It will be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled if a severe weather warning is in effect.

Refunds: Refunds requested by participant are as follows:
More than 60 days from event: Full Refund
Less than 60 days, but more than 30 days from event: 50% Refund
Less than 30 days, but more than two weeks from event: 25% Refund
Less than two weeks from event: No Refund
Event cancelled due to severe weather: No Refund

Entries are not transferable to other races Timed by Go Time as each race is organized by a different group. We must stick to this policy as race items have been purchased based on current registrations and it is not fair to choose who receives a refund and who does not.
