Spring into hope and help kick off the 2nd Annual Journey to Heal Ministries 5K & 1.5 Mile Hope Run in support of Sexual Assault Awareness. Prizes, awards, food trucks, and a community resource fair to follow after the race. Bring your family for a fun opportunity to support a local charity doing a needed work in our community!

According to RAINN (Rape and Incest National Network) and the CDC (Center for Disease Control), every 73 seconds someone in America has been sexually assaulted and every 9 minutes that someone is a child. What is more, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of sexual violence in their lifetime. You can help raise awareness and support survivors of sexual abuse as you run the scenic park at Hugh MacRae.

About the Cause

All proceeds from the race benefit the work of Journey to Heal Ministries (JTHM), a local, 100% volunteer run, 501(c)3 nonprofit that endeavors to help women heal from past sexual trauma by leading them to the hope and healing found in Jesus Christ through providing education, support, and life-giving community. Programs include free one to one mentoring, support groups for both survivors and supporters, education and awareness events, helpful resources for survivors and supporters, and an annual women’s conference providing a safe place for survivors to be encouraged and inspired while finding community with others on the same journey to heal. Race Swag

Hats will be guaranteed to participants who register by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, July 19, 2020. Shirts will also be available for PURCHASE with your registration through 11:59 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2020. The shirts are available in Youth S-L, Women’s S-XXL, and Men’s S-XXL cut sizes, and are made of a tri-blend material. Both the hats and shirts are from Without Limits.

The 5K and 1.5 Mile courses will start and finish and at scenic Hugh MacRae Park next to Shelter #6!

This race course is also stroller and wheelchair friendly!
However, dogs are not allowed on this course so please leave them at home or with a non-running spectator.

In light of the financial hit many families in our community have taken due to COVID-19, the Hope Run will be donating 10% of race entry proceeds to Food Bank of CENC. FAQ & GUIDELINES

Waiver: The Registration Agreement & Liability Waiver is linked to the Online Registration. This must be selected and approved during registration.

Packet Pick-Up: Family or Friends may pick-up your Race Packet at Packet Pick-Up.

On-Site Registration: Registration is available starting one hour prior to race start. It closes 20 minutes prior to start.

Timing: Jaguar Bib Chip Timing will be used to time this race

Weather: This race is rain or shine. It will be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled if a severe weather warning is in effect.

Refunds: There are no refunds, registration will be accepted as a donation.

Entries are not transferable to other races Timed by Go Time as each race is organized by a different group.
We must stick to this policy as race items have been purchased based on current registrations and it is not fair to choose who receives a refund and who does not.
