RACE DESCRIPTION:
Is your New Year’s Resolution always include losing weight, getting in shape, or just being more active?  Then join us for the New Year’s Romp on January 3rd in Downtown Wilmington.  It’s an easy way to kick-off the New Year and New Year’s resolutions   Whether you are a seasoned runner or a beginner, there is a run for everyone. Run alone or run in a team of 5 or more!  Proceeds benefit Communities in Schools.

Participants 21 years of age and older are encourage to join us post race for drinks at the Husk in downtown Wilmington!

PARTICIPANT GIFT:
Fleece Beanies for those registered before December 31!

TEAMS:
Teams must have 5 or more runners to qualify.
Top 5 Runners’ times will count towards fastest team.

5K & 10K  – Awards
Overall Male & Female in each race.
Overall Master Man and Woman in each race.

 

The top male and female participant in each age group 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ will get an opportunity to pop a balloon filled with random prizes (Restaurant gift cards, Thirty-One Bags, $50 gift cards to Fleet Feet, 2 free weeks of training from Without Limit, Golds Gym gift cards to running gear and more!)

Metered street parking is available and some free street parking available near start line.

FAQ & GUIDELINES
Waiver: The Registration Agreement & Liability Waiver is linked to the Online Registration. This must be selected and approved during registration.

Packet Pick-Up: Family or Friends may pick-up your Race Packet at Packet Pick-Up if the event is not sold out. For sold out races, individuals must pick-up their packet and show I.D.

On-Site Registration: Registration is available starting one hour prior to race start. It closes 20 minutes prior to start.

Timing: Jaguar Chip Timing will be used to time this race.

Weather: This race is rain or shine. It will be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled if a severe weather warning is in effect.

Refunds: Refunds requested by participant are as follows:
More than 60 days from event: Full Refund
Less than 60 days, but more than 30 days from event: 50% Refund
Less than 30 days, but more than two weeks from event: 25% Refund
Less than two weeks from event: No Refund
Event cancelled due to severe weather: No Refund

Entries are not transferable to other races Timed by Go Time as each race is organized by a different group. We must stick to this policy as race items have been purchased based on current registrations and it is not fair to choose who receives a refund and who does not.
