DESCRIPTION OF RACE:
Run or Walk to celebrate the life of Kimberly Ann Batchelor, who died of cancer at the young age of 13 on March 7, 2013. As chronicled by local news media, Kimberly’s brave battle with Leptomeningeal Oligodendrogliomatosis has inspired a community. This event is to encourage families to spend time together while training and to show support for Kimberly and her family. Proceeds will help provide resources for the Fighting for Kimberly Fund. The family would like to give back to organizations that were so generous to Kimberly in her time of need (Make a Wish Foundation and UNC Cancer Center).
