THE RACE

DISTANCES OFFERED
Participants may choose to run or walk the TIMED 5K (3.1 mile out and back). Children 12 & under may register for the TIMED 1/2 mile run! may register, Adults may register to run the 1/2 mile with their child(ren). Please see course description below.

Please plan to be at the start line 5 minutes prior to your start time wearing your race number on the front of your shirt. Walkers are asked to line up in the back.
ABOUT THE RACE
South Topsail Elementary School is holding its 2nd Stingray Shuffle to help raise money to support technology and to build two pavilions/picnic shelters at the school while also working with the children through their PE classes to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Participation in the race will be the ‘grand finale’ of the students’ hard work throughout the year!

2:15 p.m.. – Packet Pick Up and Onsite Registration Close
2:30 p.m. – 1/2 Mile Begins – New Start Time
2:45 p.m. – 5K Begins – New Start Time
3:45 p.m. – Awards Begin (This time is approximate)
THE COURSE
1/2 Mile Course: This course takes place entirely on school property, starting at the PTO hut, looping around the back parking lot, around the bus loop, and back to the starting line.
5K Course: This is an out and back open road course that takes participants out of the school front parking lot, down Hoover Road and into Castle Bay and back.

RACE SHIRTS:
Shirts are available for those who register by February 6, 2015. They are available in Youth XS-L and adult S-XXL. Additional race shirts are available for $10.00 for those not participating. Please contact hartnett13@hotmail.com for information on how to order.

PARKING
Participants may park in the parking lot to the right when you enter the school. Please note cars will not be permitted to leave until the conclusion of the 5K.

FAQ & GUIDELINES
Waiver: The Registration Agreement & Liability Waiver is linked to the Online Registration. This must be selected and approved during registration.
Packet Pick-Up: Family or Friends may pick-up your Race Packet at Packet Pick-Up.
On-Site Registration: Registration is available starting one hour prior to race start. It closes 20 minutes prior to start.
Timing: Jaguar Bib Chip Timing will be used to time this race
Weather: This race is rain or shine. It will be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled if a severe weather warning is in effect.
Refunds: Refunds requested by participant are as follows (minus credit card processing fee):
More than 60 days from event: Full Refund
Less than 60 days, but more than 30 days from event: 50% Refund
Less than 30 days, but more than two weeks from event: 25% Refund
Less than two weeks from event: No Refund
Entries are not transferable to other races Timed by Go Time as each race is organized by a different group. We must stick to this policy as race items have been purchased based on current registrations and it is not fair to choose who receives a refund and who does not.
